James Cook Uni WIL program
AiBEC and James Cook University have entered an agreement whereby AiBEC will promote to Members and Allied Supporters the JCU Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Program.
The WIL Program provides a pathway for highly skilled future Masters Graduates to engage with the insurance industry through AiBEC and apply their academic knowledge in real-world projects, gain hands-on experience, and build professional networks.
AiBEC in keeping with its objectives and aims of professional betterment, training and standards uplift see this as an opportunity for both employers and students.
This is an exciting project creating pathways for students to thrive in the civil engineering industry, and also an opportunity for JCU to potentially place their students in the following studies associated with service providers and insurers:
- Accounting
- Business
- Information Technology
- Data Science
- Engineering
- Project Management
The Professional Placement is for 100 hours over 10 weeks or for Engineering Management students it is 130 hours.
Placements can be full-time or part-time to meet the workplace needs.
As a professional and national insurance industry-based professional Association with Members and Allied Supporters, our aims and objectives are to uplift quality, training and transparency of experts, builders and other services providers for the benefit of all stakeholders in the insurance claims handling process.
This program represents an important AiBEC initiative to develop key partnerships with Australian Universities within their postgraduate programs to consolidate undergraduates and recent graduates and integrate them with our experts and service providers within the insurance industry.
